Accessibility statement
We are committed to making our website accessible for as many people as possible. We are working towards compliance withThe Public Sector Bodies (Websites and Mobile Applications) (No. 2) Accessibility Regulations 2018.
Making our website work for you
- You should be able to use a range of accessibility features to tailor our website to your needs. This includes:
- Navigate most of the website using just your keyboard
- Zooming by up to 275% on a desktop or laptop computer without text spilling off screen
- Listen to most of the website content using a screen reader
Video and Audio
- Some of the video and audio content is delivered via the LSE’s website using the LSE player.
- This can be navigated using a keyboard
- Video and audio content can be started, stopped and the volume controlled using the keyboard
- Filtering functions are not currently useable with keyboard controls
- Some videos on the website are also delivered using YouTube and other channels
We know some parts of this website aren’t currently fully accessible
We are in a process of an accessibility evaluation of our website. At the current time, we have identified the following accessibility issues:
- Some elements are not keyboard accessible, and there are issues with keyboard focus
- Some content may not be easy for screen readers to process correctly
- Some Images may not be labelled with descriptive alt text
- Videos do not have audio description
- Audio streams do not have transcripts
- Older documents may not be compliant with accessibility standards
- Some links to other websites may not be active anymore
- Downloadable pdf documents may not be accessible with screen readers

Complaints process
