Looking at Labour Markets from a Multidimensional Perspective: the Quality of Employment in Latin America

Kirsten Sehnbruch discusses a multidimensional methodology for measuring the quality of employment from the perspective of the capability approach that can be used to complement traditional measures of labour market performance such as participation or unemployment rates. The results can usefully inform public policymakers in developing countries to help them identify the most vulnerable workers and design social and labour policies accordingly.
